This year, Memorial Day falls on May 27, and for many, this holiday weekend marks the unofficial start of summer. Michael G. Taylor III Memorial Car Show Season Kickoff
When: Saturday, May 25 - 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Where: Aces Garage Bar and Grill, 501 Twin Rail Dr. Suite 2, Minooka, IL 60447
What: The Prison City Kruisers invites the community to come out to this year’s Memorial Car Show Season Kickoff, held in honor of Michael G. Taylor III. The $10 entry fee includes access to food, music, awards and a 50/50.

The Vintage Faire
When: Sunday, May 26 - 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Where: 24550 W. Shepley Rd., Minooka, IL 60447
What: The Vintage Fair returns to Minooka on the last Sunday of May, offering a variety of antique and handcrafted goods. Tickets are $5 per attendee, with ages 14 and under attending free.
Village Of Channahon Memorial Day Ceremony
When: Monday, May 27 - 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Where: Channahon Municipal Center, 24555 S. Navajko Dr., Channahon, IL 60410
What: The Village of Channahon will host its annual Memorial Day Service in honor of those who served our country. This event is rain or shine; seating will be available.

Minooka Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 27 - 10:00 a.m.
Where: Mission Bible Church, 412 N. Wabena Ave., Minooka, IL 60447
What: The Minooka Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by the Minooka American Legion Post 1188, will start at the Mission Bible Church and end at the corner of E. Mondamin St. and Wabena Ave. A memorial service conducted by the American Legion will take place immediately after the parade, and all are encouraged to attend.
