2 Newborn Girls Dead After Being Found In Chicago Daycare Bathroom: PD
The infants were discovered unresponsive at a Northwestern Memorial Hospital daycare and were later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

CHICAGO — Two newborn girls were found unresponsive inside a bathroom at a daycare on the campus of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood and were later pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.
The girls were discovered just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, police said. The daycare facility is in the 400 block of East Ontario Street. The infants were taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
A Northwestern Memorial Hospital spokesperson said in a statement that the medical situation involved a daycare worker at the facility, but that the two children were not part of the daycare. It is unclear whose children were involved in the emergency situation, officials said.

ABC7, citing sources, said that a 29-year-old woman was found on the first floor of the facility covered in blood and that janitors found the infants' bodies wrapped in plastic bags.
In a statement issued on Friday, the daycare said:
"We are heartbroken by the tragic situation that occurred at the Bernice E. Lavin Childhood Education Center when a staff member experienced a medical emergency that resulted in the unanticipated delivery of newborn twin babies. All children and families enrolled at the center are safe and none were involved in the incident.
The statement continued: "We will be providing emotional and mental health support to all members of our center team and families. We ask for support and respect for everyone involved at this time as we grieve together and work to support each other and any ensuing investigation."
