Men Crash Through Hotel Window In Fight Over Fake Tickets: Cops

Chicago police said three men suffered minor injuries after a fight over Lolla tickets Sunday evening damaged the Congress Plaza Hotel.

CHICAGO — Three people were injured after a fight over counterfeit tickets ended in the trio smashing through a window at the Congress Plaza Hotel. The incident occurred right across the street from Lollapalooza, authorities said.

Police said they were called to the hotel on the 500 block of South Michigan Avenue at around 5:45 p.m Sunday where a 26-year-old man was attempting to sell fake concert tickets to a 38-year-old man, 29-year-old man, 27-year-old woman and 23-year-old woman.

Both men confronted the seller, according to police reports. A fight followed which sent all three people through the glass window of a nearby hotel. The 38-year-old man suffered minor cuts to the head and legs. The 29-year-old man sustained a cut to his left leg and the 26-year-old had minor cuts to his back, head and legs, officials said. All three were taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.

The suspect is in custody, police said Monday morning.
