The police officer who shot and killed 13-year-old Adam Toledo in March 2021 will not face criminal charges.

Neither will the officer who fatally shot 22-year-old Anthony Alvarez two days later, Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx said Tuesday.

"There are no winners in this very tragic situation," Foxx said at a news conference.
