Woman Attacked CTA Riders With Glass Bottle In Downtown Chicago: Police
The incident comes about a month after a man set a woman on fire on a CTA train, also in downtown Chicago, police said.

CHICAGO — A woman faces several charges after she attacked multiple people with a glass bottle on a CTA train in downtown Chicago, according to police.
Jada Beatty, 26, of the 10600 block of South Edbrooke Avenue in Chicago, is charged with four counts of aggravated battery in a public place, two counts of aggravated battery of a transit employee or passenger, and two counts of aggravated battery of a victim over the age of 60, police said.
Beatty was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue, about an hour after she hit two women, ages 19 and 32, on a Red Line train in the 100 block of North State Street, before battering a 66-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman outside the train, according to police.

The incident comes about a month after 50-year-old Lawrence Reed set a woman on fire aboard a Blue Line train that was also downtown, authorities said. Reed was charged with committing a terrorist attack against a mass transportation system, according to authorities.
