$8M Winning Lotto Ticket Sold In Chicago
The winning ticket is good for $8 million for the lucky player. Another player won $100,000 from a ticket sold out of Oak Lawn.
CHICAGO, IL — A lucky Chicagoan is the winner of an $8 million lottery ticket, according to a release from the Illinois Lottery. The big winner of the Saturday, July 20 drawing was sold at the BP at 7450 Grand Ave. in Chicago.
The winning numbers for the $8 million prize are 5-7-17-25-45-44. The lucky ticket hit them all, winning the jackpot. The retailer will be awarded $80,000, or one percent, of the winning value for selling the ticket, the release says..
The night before, a ticket winning $100,000 was sold at Gennaro Liquors at 5549 W. 87th St. in Oak Lawn. The Friday, July 19 drawing, matched all five numbers on that ticket: 2-7-15-28-31. That retailer will also get one percent of the prize value, totaling at $1,000.

If you're one of the lucky winners, the Illinois Lottery recommends you sign the back of your ticket and keep it in a secure location until you can get to one of the Lottery's five prize centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.
Winners have one year to claim their prize.
