Arrest Made In 7-Year-Old's Shooting Death: Report
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Serenity Broughton, 7, the Chicago Tribune reported.

CHICAGO — Police have made an arrest in the August shooting death of 7-year-old Serenity Broughton, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A 24-year-old man who was on parole after an attempted armed robbery conviction is in custody for the shooting that killed Serenity and wounded her 6-year-old sister, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
No charges have been filed as of Friday afternoon.

Serenity and her sister were sitting in a parked car in the 6200 block of West Grand Avenue on the afternoon of Aug. 15 when they were shot, police said.
At the time, officials said they did not believe the family was targeted.
