  • Illinois richest man is taking his family and company to Miami. Citadel owner Ken Griffin made good on his threat to leave Chicago with intriguing timing, less than a week from the Republican Primary that the polls say his preferred candidate is set to lose. (Patch)
  • Ald. Michele Smith wants to deploy private security and allow police to use metal detectors to hunt for guns at North Avenue Beach. "I have lived here for 44 years and having guns at our beaches is absolutely unacceptable," she said. (FOX32)
  • It's Triplets! Congrats to Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez and his wife Loreen. Both the babies and their mother are "healthy and resting well," the ward boss said. (Patch)
  • North Side Ald. Tom Tunney is worried police aren't prepared for this weekend's Pride Parade. "I am deeply concerned that the current staffing plans for the Pride Parade as outlined to me are insufficient for the size of the crowds the city realistically should be anticipating," he wrote in a letter to top cop David Brown.   • Federal prosecutors have asked a judge to sentence "Cheer" star Jerry Harris to 15 years in prison on child porn and sex crime charges. Harris is set to be sentenced July 6. (Daily Beast)
