Boy, 3, Dies After Falling From 17th Story Window

The boy was not home alone and detectives are investigating the death as an accident, police said.

CHICAGO — A 3-year-old boy has died after falling from a 17th story apartment window on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the 1100 block of N. LaSalle Drive. Police said the boy likely pushed the screen out of the window and fell around 10:40 p.m. He landed in a bush and was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, where he died.

The boy was not home alone and detectives are investigating the death as an accident, police said.
