CHICAGO — A car plowed through a crowd of protesters Tuesday evening in downtown Chicago, seemingly striking a 66-year-old woman, according to video and police reports.
Demonstrators opposing recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in California crowded downtown roadways, and a woman at one point drove a car quickly down Monroe Street, which was filled with protesters, causing them to dart out of her way, as shown in a video published by the Associated Press.
Around the same time and location that the car plowed through the crowd, as reported by WLS, a woman standing in the road was struck, according to police.
