CHICAGO, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom is my friend. She has my back for everything. She helps me do everything I need to do in school and in life. She helps my grandparents at Swop-O-Rama. She helps the school when they need help.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She is a good friend, a nice young lady. I want her to have everything she wants because I love my mom.
