Chicagwa: A Made-Up Word That Means Chicago Tap Water In A Can
City officials are celebrating National Drinking Water Week with a funny marketing campaign and cool-looking cans of "Chicagwa."

CHICAGO — City officials are celebrating National Drinking Water Week by unveiling a new brand of canned water — Chicagwa.
"From the beginning of my administration, I’ve made it a priority to ensure that every resident has access to high-quality drinking water," Mayor Lori Lightfoot said. “Together, we’ve ended water shutoffs for nonpayment and introduced legislation in City Council to protect water affordability. Now it’s time to celebrate Chicago’s water with a campaign that reminds us of our most precious resource — Lake Michigan.”
The limited run of cans featuring six different designs by local artists was unveiled with the help of a rather funny commercial produced by Quality Meats Creative, narrated by Chicago TikTok historian Shermann "Dilla" Thomas and starring a uncredited actor with a decent Chicago mustache.
