Cracked Window Forces Chicago Flight To Land In Cleveland
The damage was noticed after the Southwest flight took off Wednesday from Chicago.

CLEVELAND, OH — A cracked window in the passenger compartment of a Southwestern Airlines flight from Chicagos Midway Airport forced the plane to make an unscheduled landing Wednesday morning in Cleveland, according to the air carrier. Flight 957 was carrying 76 people on its way to Newark, New Jersey, before landing at Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
No one was hurt in the incident, a Southwest representative told Patch, adding that "[t]he flight landed uneventfully in Cleveland."
"No emergency landing was requested, and the flight landed uneventful with no reported injuries," the representative said.

The crack in one of the multiple layers of the window pane was discovered after the plane took off from Midway on its way to Newark's Liberty International Airport, according to a statement by the airline. Because of the multiple panes, the plane did not lose pressurization while in flight, the airline said.
