1. A 62-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after being attacked Monday in the 2200 block of South State Street, WGN reports. Police said the attacker hit the cyclist with a construction sign and then began beating him with his own bike. (WGN)

2. A teen was shot Sunday night in the 1700 block of Dusable Lake Shore Drive. She was in a vehicle when she was shot in the back near West LaSalle Avenue. Police said she was taken to a hospital in good condition. (NBC)

3. Chicago police are searching for a group of 18 people “who are believed to have attempted to break into the [post] office” Monday morning at the James R. Thompson Center. WTTW reports burglaries are up five percent across the city compared to last year. (WTTW)

4. New data from the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners shows that young voter turnout helped elect Brandon Johnson mayor. WBEZ reports a 27 percent increase in voters 18-34 from the February election to the April runoff. This age group represents “the highest percentage increase in ballots cast” between the two elections. (WBEZ)

5. Capital One Cafés will give away six pairs of tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Chicago, FOX reports. Fans can enter for a chance to win today through Friday at locations on Southport, 53rd and State streets. (FOX)
