Election Board Boots Rapper Kanye West From Presidential Ballot
Illinois Board Of Elections rules Kanye West's presidential campaign did not submit enough valid signatures to qualify for Nov. 3 ballot.

CHICAGO — The Illinois Election Board on Friday unanimously decided Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's presidential campaign did not submit the 2,500 valid signatures required to earn a spot on the Nov. 3 ballot.
The Chicago-native made a last-minute effort to qualify for the ballot in Illinois with the help of professional petition circulators who were paid $10 for each signature they collected.
A review of the 3,218 signatures West's campaign submitted found nearly 2,000 were invalid.
