1. Four people were shot Tuesday night in Englewood, Chicago police said. Two of them were critically injured in the shooting in the 7000 block of South Halsted Street. (ABC)

2. Lakeview residents tell Block Club Chicago they’re concerned after four people were shot in the neighborhood over Memorial Day weekend. William Hair, 35, was killed Saturday in the 500 block of West Surf Street. (Block Club)

3. City Council members voted Wednesday to allocate more than $50 million to help migrants. CBS Chicago reports the funding will come from a 2021 budget surplus. (CBS)

4. The council also approved a plan to expand outdoor dining in the city. FOX reports the new ordinance from Mayor Brandon Johnson “will create legal means for restaurants and bars to continue operating on the roadway in front of or adjacent to their establishment." (FOX)
