Girl, 5, Dies After Being Found Unresponsive In Ritz-Carlton Pool
The child was found in the pool Tuesday afternoon.
CHICAGO, IL — A 5-year-old girl was pronounced dead at Lurie Children's Hospital after she was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel At Water Tower Place, police said. The girl was identified as Tabitha Shields, NBC Chicago reported.
Police said the girl was found in the pool around 3:45 p.m. in the first block of East Pearson Street.
No other details on the incident were available Wednesday morning.
