I missed Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who popped in long enough to eat a donut and embarass herself on the dance floor, a source said.
But it was Millennial mayoral candidate Ja'Mal Green who took up the most parking spots.
Gas prices be damned, Green arrived wearing a suit on chaufered tour bus with his face on it.

- Chicago celebrated Juneteenth in style. Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa performed at DuSable Museum of African American History. "The fact that it's on Father's Day allows us to appreciate Black dads, and we're in a place where Black people in America and globally just need spaces to be together," Chance said. (ABC7)
- U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was in town speaking at Rainbow PUSH's 56th annual convention. Buttigieg met with Lightfoot to talk about how the federal government can make the Chicago Transit Authority more equitable, by pushing funding for the Red Line extension to the far South Side transit desert. (NBC5)
- At least 34 people were shot and wounded, four fatally, over the weekend. (ABC7)
- Concerts at Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park will now have stricter security. So, leave your pets and guns at home, folks. And check out the list of stuff you can't bring. (FOX32)
- Don't miss this must read from Neil Steinberg about his visit to Neenah Foundry, where Chicago manhole covers have been made for 150 years. “Yes, we still call them ‘manhole' covers. Most people don’t care because it’s a cover over a sewer,” a city official said. (ST/WBEZ)
