Here are the top three stories today in Chicago:

  1. In the suburbs of Chicago in Batavia, the largest movie theater screen in Illinois had its first showing yesterday. The Super EMX Auditorium aired "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One" at 2:00 p.m. on its 96-foot wide and 53-foot tall screen, which is the size of an NBA court turned on its side. The venue opened back on Jun. 1 but was still undergoing some construction. Now, the auditorium can hold up to 414 people in its comfortable reclining and heated leather chairs. (FOX 32 Chicago)
  2. Earlier this week, it was announced James Lewis passed away, Lewis was the suspect for the 1982 Tylenol poisonings that took the lives of seven people in the Chicago area. Emergency services responded to a household in Cambridge, MA, after receiving reports of an unresponsive person and arrived at the home to find Lewis dead, It was determined that his death was not suspicious. Lewis was never charged with any killings in the Tylenol poisoning incident, but he did serve 12 years in prison after sending an extortion letter to Johnson & Johnson demanding for $1 million to "stop the killings;" he was arrested in 1982 in New York City after a nationwide manhunt. (ABC News)
  3. Chicago rapper G Herbo was arrested this past Sunday for illegal possession of a gun that was discovered during a drug bust. The incident occurred a bit before 6:00 p.m. near North Wabash Avenue and Ontario Street. He was booked on a misdemeanor of unlawful use of a weapon in a public place. The rapper is currently out on bail and awaiting a court date that will take place later this year. (HotNewHipHop)
