Man Dies After Falling From Logan Square Blue Line Platform
Neither police nor the medical examiner have identified the man, who fell 30 feet to his death over a railing Tuesday night.
CHICAGO — A man in his mid 30s fell to his death over a railing on a CTA Blue Line platform in Logan Square Tuesday night, police said.
Police identified the man only as John Doe, and the medical examiner's office had no information on his identity as of Wednesday morning. Authorities said he appeared to be intoxicated when he fell about 30 feet from the platform to the street at the Western transit station, 1900 N. Western Ave.
The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition. The medical examiner pronounced him dead at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, a couple minutes after midnight.

His death is being investigated as an accident, according to a police incident report.
