Man Shot, Killed In Front Of Chicago Greyhound Station: Police

Police said a verbal altercation between two people led to the suspect pulling out a gun and shooting a man who died at the hospital.

CHICAGO — Police are searching for a suspect on Monday after they saw an argument in front of a Greyhound station on Chicago’s Near West Side lead to a man being shot and killed.

Police said that the shooting took place at 11:18 a.m. when two people became involved in a verbal argument in front of the bus terminal located at 608 W. Harrison Street. Police said that a man began arguing with another person and was shot.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital and was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said that no arrests have been made and are seeking a man who is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and is heavyset. Police said the man fled on foot after shooting the suspect multiple times and was said to be wearing black sweat pants with two stripes down either side and a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, a department spokesman told reporters on Monday afternoon.
