Mastiff Bites Woman, Mauls Another Dog At Pet Store
The attack happened Sunday after the mastiff escaped from its kennel at an Archer Heights shop.

CHICAGO — A mastiff broke out of its kennel Sunday at an Archer Heights pet store, biting a woman and mauling another dog. The woman was taken to an area hospital with bites on her right middle finger and upper left arm.
The incident happened at around 10:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at a PetSmart in the 4100 block of South Pulaski Road, according to the Chicago Tribune. That's when a mastiff escaped in the store's grooming area, the report added.
The woman was bitten by the mastiff as she was walking another dog to the bathing area, the report stated. The mastiff also attacked the other dog, killing it, the report added.

Chicago police believe the dog attack was accidental, but the store and authorities are still investigating the incident.
