Getting indicted on racketeering charges for running an alleged "criminal enterprise" has not completely sidelined former House Speaker Michael Madigan from Illinois politics
Madigan, who remains Chicago's 13th Ward committeeman, corralled precinct captains to talk strategy for the June primary, sources told NBC5.

- A toddler was gravely injured in an early Monday apartment fire in the Austin neighborhood that also left three others hospitalized. The blaze started just after midnight in a first floor apartment in the 500 block of North Central Avenue. (NBC5)
