1. Detectives are investigating the death of a 27-year-old migrant at a Chicago shelter. The 27-year-old was found unresponsive Friday morning at the former site of Wadsworth Elementary School, where migrants have been living since January. (WGN)
2. A teen was killed and seven people were injured in a shooting Thursday night in the 4200 block of South Wells, ABC reports. Three Chicago police officers were among the injured. (ABC)

3. The Tribune reports the Bears are exploring the “possibility of abandoning their plans for a new stadium development in Arlington Heights in favor of Naperville.” City leaders met Friday with team officials, who said in a statement: "It is our responsibility to listen to other municipalities in Chicagoland about potential locations that can deliver on this transformational opportunity for our fans." 4. The Chicago Loop Alliance will add 20 “street ambassadors” to its program this summer, the program announced this week. Beginning Tuesday, 40 ambassadors “will patrol the [State Street] corridor afternoons and evenings five days a week.” (Block Club)
5. “A fierce debate” preceded this week’s City Council vote to allocate more than $50 million for assisting migrants. WBEZ reports the Wednesday meeting was “at times racially charged as alderpersons and residents spoke out about where the city dedicates resources.” (WBEZ)

- Ted Lasso’s look was inspired by Bears coach Mike Ditka, creator and star Jason Sudeikis said in an episode of “Hot Ones” this week. “You know, the shades, the short polyester shorts and the mustache was very much Ditka,” he told host and Illinois native Sean Evans. The Emmy-winning series wrapped up its third season Wednesday on Apple TV+. Creators Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly also have Chicago roots. (NBC)
