Police Ask Public For Help In I-57 Shootings
Police are asking for the public's help with shootings along I-57 this week that left a postal worker dead and three others wounded.

CHICAGO, IL— Illinois State Police are asking the public for help with shootings along the I-57 corridor this week that killed a postal worker and left three others wounded. The incidents, police said, are not related.
The first happened Monday afternoon at about 4 p.m. south of 127th St. In that incident, three of four people traveling along I-57 were shot and taken to nearby hospitals. A 38-year-old man remains in critical condition. Two boys, 15 and 12, were injured and released. An eight-year-old girl also was in the car, but was uninjured.
The second shooting happened later that night at about 10 p.m. near Oak Forest. Tamara Clayton, 55, was found dead at the scene, with shots to the neck.

State police said the two shootings are bring investigated as separate incidents.
They are asking witnesses and anyone with knowledge of the shootings to contact police at 847-294-4400. Callers can remain anonymous.
