The U.S. Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 case that legalized abortion nationwide, according to a draft copy of a majority opinion obtained by Politico late Monday.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot called draft ruling "leaves no doubt that the right-wing majority cares more about politics than the law. For shame."

- The hunt for a teenage carjacking suspect led to a lockdown on Northwestern University's downtown campus on Monday. It took about eight minutes for officers to nab him in the basement of the Montgomery Ward Building, home to the Feinberg School. (WGN9)
- Chicago mayoral candidate Willie Wilson said conductors would return to CTA trains if he's elected. "Too many citizens have been robbed, too many people that are homeless on the train, which need a place to live outside being on the train," Wilson said. (NBC5)
- Chicago is having some "violence displacement issues," police Supt. David Brown said. In response to a series of shootings downtown over the weekend, the top cop plans to deploy more officers to the Loop. (NBC5)
