Rumors, wilted flowers and a scrap of police tape weakly clinging to the Langley Park fence are all that lingers from Friday's shooting while we all wait for the body cam video to be released.

- The alleged ambulance jacker has been captured. Chicagoan Benjamin Herrington, 46, was charged with fleeing and resisting police and possession of a stolen Chicago Fire Department ambulance. He led authorities on a 75-mile chase on Interstate 55. (Patch)
- A 45th Ward Streets and Sanitation department supervisor got busted trying to sell an illegal machine gun to an undercover agent. Charles Sikanich was on the clock, and driving a city vehicle. He even tried to have his mother close the deal, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said. (Patch)
- Parents of a Latin School student who killed himself in January have sued the elite Chicago high school. The court filing alleges that officials knew the 15-year-old boy was being bullied but wrote off the problems as "family issues." "If they would have notified us, and we would have known about it, I know that he would have still been here today," the late boy's mother said. (NBC5)
- "I’m going to be honest, he was just trying to rape me," Gregory Stamps, who was charged with beating a man to death with a hammer, told police. Stamps told police that he used the hammer in self-defense. (FOX32)
- Lollapalooza single-day tickets go on sale today. Metallica and Lil Baby top the bill on Thursday, Dua Lipa and Machine Gun Kelly headline Friday. J. Cole and Kygo are Saturday's showstoppers. And Green Day and Doja Cat are set to close out the festival on Sunday.(Patch)
