Suit Against Nursing Home Alleges Negligence Led to Death
Estate Blames Glen Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation for negligence led to death

CHICAGO - An estate special representative is suing a Northbrook nursing home, alleging negligence in the care of a patient.
Louis Antic, as estate special representative of Dusanka Antic, filed a lawsuit March 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glen Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre Ltd., alleging negligence resulting in injury and death, and violating the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 13, 2015, Antic suffered injuries from falling including a large bump on her head and a broken hip that required surgery. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to appropriately assist, monitor and supervise in her daily activities to prevent from falling.

Antic later died from her injuries, the suit says.
Louis Antic seeks more than $50,000, plus attorney fees and the costs of suit. He is represented by attorney Christopher T. Theisen of Theisen & Roche Ltd. in Chicago.

This isn't the first alleged violation the nursing home has received. On December 4, 2015, Tessan Johnson blamed Glen Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation for her mother’s injuries that led to death.
