Summer Film Series Returns to Millennium Park

Ferris Bueller, Purple Rain and a special sing-along presentation of Grease coming to Millennium Park screen.

At this summer’s Millennium Park film series, take a seat at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion or lounge on the Great Lawn as crowd-pleasing movies are presented on a state-of-the-art, 40-foot LED screen.

The free annual series kicks off June 21 with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” the 1986 comedy about a suburban teen (Matthew Broderick) who skips school and spends the day in downtown Chicago. This year marks the movie’s 30th anniversary.

Audience members will vote on their favorite Chicago film to be shown for the final offering on Aug. 30.
