It is my pleasure to have worked with Wendy Schmeidler at Saint Ignatius College Prep. Wendy is an outstanding teacher - fully credentialed - and was nominated as “Teacher of the Year"

Wendy teaches English literature, World literature, Voices of Women (a class she created)

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Wendy not only is an outstanding teacher, but she works beyond the classroom participating in Kairos retreats, coordinating women’s studies, and works with our minority students

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She is brilliant, compassionate, and creates lessons that engage students. In addition, she works tirelessly regarding students. Wendy worked with Notre Dame’s ACE program when she taught students in the rural south.
