SOUTHWEST IL — The National Weather Service's St. Louis office confirmed tornadoes in Missouri and across state lines in southwest Illinois, Fox 2 Now reported early Monday.
The damaging storms hit Missouri's Lead Belt, then moved towards Illinois cities Chester, Steeleville and Coulterville in Randolph County.
Monday morning, the National Weather Service said survey teams were headed out to assess the damage in southeastern Missouri and southwest Illinois. No injuries had been reported as of early Monday.

Rain continued to fall in some areas Monday morning, with flood warnings in Cook and Will counties, a flood advisory until 1 a.m. Wednesday for DuPage and Will counties, and a lakeshore flood advisory until 7 p.m. for central and northern Cook and Lake County.
