CHICAGO — A CTA passenger was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening on a Blue Line train, according to police.
The incident occurred at 7:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Kedzie Avenue in West Garfield Park, police said. One of the three robbers showed a gun and stole the passenger’s property while the other two kept the train doors from closing to allow them to escape quickly, according to police.
CTA passengers who are victims of a crime should never pursue criminals but should instead press the emergency button, call 911 immediately, and make note of their location and any distinct characteristics of the suspects, police said.
