  1. Winter weather advisories have been issued in the Chicago area for Thursday. Warning of snow, sleet, and rain could make morning and evening commutes difficult. The precipitation is expected to cause slippery road conditions. (Patch)
  2. According to CBS News, an investigation is currently underway by Chicago police regarding the discovery of what seems to be swastikas painted on a fence in the West Ridge neighborhood. The fence in question is located on the 6300 block of North California Avenue. No further information about the investigation was available as of Wednesday evening. (Chicago Patch)
  3. Chicago O'Hare International Airport's Terminal 5 expansion won the 2022 Public Project of the Year at the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association's 43rd Annual Awards Banquet. The project was recognized for its diversity and inclusion efforts, with 30 percent minority-owned and 7 percent women-owned participation rates during the four-year construction led by Austin Power Partners.
