1 Dead, 2 Injured In Park Forest Crash; Cops Say Alcohol Involved

A 22-year-old man is dead and a 23-year-old woman is critically injured after the crash early Sunday morning.

PARK FOREST, IL — A Park Forest man is dead and two other south suburban residents are injured after a car crash early Sunday morning, police told Patch.

According to officials, police were called to a car crash in the 400 block of Wildwood Drive at around 1 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, officers found 22-year-old Vincent Adami ejected from the passenger seat of the vehicle. Paramedics said Adami died on the scene shortly after they attempted to revive him.

Another passenger in the car, a 23-year-old Matteson woman, was seriously injured and taken to Franciscan St. James Health before being airlifted to John Stroger Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The driver, a 23-year-old Midlothian man, suffered minor injuries during the crash and was treated and released shortly after. He is currently in police custody as officers told Patch they believe "alcohol consumption and speed" were contributing factors in the crash.

No other cars were involved.

The Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting Park Forest police in the investigation.
