1 Man Dead, Woman And Dog Wounded In Steger Shooting: Police
A Steger man is dead after a shooting last Thursday killed Anthony Perez-Fox and wounded his mother and family dog.
STEGER, IL — One person is dead and another wounded after a shooting last week in Steger, police said.
According to officials, 27-year-old Anthony Perez-Fox was shot in the head at around 7:15 p.m. at a home in the 3100 block of Halsted Street.
Police told Patch they were called to the home shortly after 7 p.m. and found Perez-Fox dead and his 45-year-old mother wounded. The woman was treated and released from a local hospital.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident and asks anyone with information to call authorities at 708-755-0223. Steger police did not immediately respond to questions on possible suspects.
The Perez-Fox family dog was also shot and wounded. Police said the animal only maintained a minor injury.
