$7,000 Worth of Copper Taken, Car Reported Stolen: Blotter

Chicago Heights police reports, March 17-21.

Only Broken Glass Remained

A 1990 Chevy Celebrity was reported stolen from the 100 block of West 10th Street, according to a report. The owner said he parked the car at about 2:30 p.m. and, when he returned, found only broken glass on the ground remained. Police are investigating the incident as a car theft.

That's A Lot Of Copper

About $7,000 worth of copper pipes and fittings were reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of East 13th Street, according to a report. The victim told police somebody pried open the south door to the building and took the property sometime betwen Oct. 12, 2012 and March 17.
