A Beacon Hill Shooting With Two Sides: Let's Talk
Patch wants to talk to anyone with more information on the tragic and controversial incident that took place on Boston Street.

Patch readers are debating the circumstances under which it is acceptable (or at least understandable) to open fire on an intruder after a Chicago Heights man shot an 18-year-old he said was breaking into his home, according to the .
Some believe the man was well within his rights, given the circumstances, but others think the man may have opened fire prematurely and that violence is never the answer. Patch will keep you posted on this story as things unfold, but if you or anyone you know has more information on the shooting and would like the community to know more about it, please feel free to comment on this article or contact me at christopher.paicely@patch.com.
