Mayor David A. Gonzalez, Clerk Lori Wilcox, Treasurer James Dee, the Chicago Heights City Council and
members of our local Veterans organizations cordially invite you to join them at this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony, as the City pays tribute to all the men and women who honorably served our country, and who
paid the ultimate sacrifice in defending our freedom.
The ceremony will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012 and commence at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Mound, located at the northwest corner of Lincoln Highway/U.S. Route 30 and Chicago Road.
Special guests scheduled to speak include U.S. Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. (IL-2nd District), Illinois State Representative Anthony De Luca (80th District), Cook County Commissioner Deborah Sims (5th District) and Cook County Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy (6th District).
