Art from all over the nation inspired by nature and organic material will be exhibited in “botanic/organic” at in Chicago Heights, Feb. 29 through March 31.
This exhibit, was curated by Elizabeth Whiting, the well known curator of the Union League Club of Chicago. Elizabeth has an extensive background in the arts including curating at the Terra Museum in Chicago. It is truly an honor to have her put together an exhibit here in Chicago Heights. Out of more than 100 artists who entered a total of about 300 works of art, this exhibit will feature 59 works of art by 52 artists from 21 different states.
The official opening reception for this exhibit is March 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The exhibit and the opening are free admission. Many of the artists exhibiting will be there to engage the public, including some who are flying and driving in from other states. The juror Elizabeth Whiting will also be there to choose the award winners.
