Three Prairie State College students brought home awards from the Harper College Litrenta Triangle Speech Tournament Feb. 17 and 18.
Angela Parrish of Olympia Fields was named tournament champion for persuasive speaking; Adrianna Carr of Park Forest received sixth place for Informative speaking and fifth place for prose interpretation; and Matt Jiles of Flossmoor received fifth place for impromptu speaking. Additional team members were Addison Jackson of Oak Forest, Elizabeth Rossi of Crete, and Marilyn Foster, Kelli Campbell, and Nick Williams of Homewood.
The team was coached by PSC Professors Ed Schwarz, David Naze, and Elighie Wilson.

"This was the biggest tournament of the season to this point, and we are so pleased to see the progress our students continue to make,” said Naze. “We look forward to the home stretch of the season and to see how our students continue to improve."
