City Hires Outdoor Design Firm To Oversee New Developments

The Chicago Heights City Council voted to hire Site Design Group, Ltd. to ensure landscaping around new developments would be consistent.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The Chicago Heights City Council approved a plan to hire a landscaping and outdoor design company to ensure new developments mesh well with the city's preexisting landscape at a Monday night council meeting.

According to Mayor David Gonzalez, the city hired Chicago-based Site Design Group, Ltd. due to their experience in urban design. With new developments on the horizon, Gonzalez said the city wants to oversee projects at every step of construction.

Two of the upcoming projects approved at past city council meetings include Morgan Li for a new industrial property at 1001 Washington Street and P & J Properties for a new location at 210 East 12th Street.
