Driver Almost Ran Over Woman after Breakup with Sibling: Blotter

Almost Hit By Monte Carlo
A woman who chased off anotherΒ she thought was going to slash her tires nearly hit her with a car a short time later, Chicago Heights police said.
The 42-year-old woman noticed the woman, who had recently ended a relationship with her brother, hiding behind her car at about 9:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lowe Avenue, according to a Chicago Heights Police Department report.
After the victim walked outside, the woman fled before any words were exchanged, the reports states. She returned a little later, as the victim waited outside to see if she would come back, and was driving a blue Monte Carlo.
The woman in the Monte Carlo swerved and tried to hit the woman, according to the report. She was unhurt.
TUESDAY, JUNE 18
Threats Of Violence
A Chicago woman was almost hit by a black, newer model vehicle and was threatened by the occupants, Chicago Heights police said.
The 21-year-old woman told officers the vehicle came at her at about 6 p.m. as she was walking southbound on Center Avenue near 15th Street, according to a Chicago Heights Police Department report. She was able to run out of the way just in time.
The vehicle stopped and the three people who got out started threatening her, the report states. The victim ran away while the three people continued to yell. She was able to give police the names of people involved but no arrests were reported.
