Elderly Heights Resident Robbed at Gunpoint in His Own Garage
The bearded suspect walked away with a rather small amount of money.

A Chicago Heights man met with a disturbing surprise outside his home at about 2 p.m. on Dec. 31.
A 77-year-old man told police a bearded man entered his garage, pointed a black pistol at him and asked for money.
The man gave up $45 and the robber walked away.

The victim estimated the gunman to be around 40 years old, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. He wore dark clothing and was last seen in the 1400 block of Schilling Avenue.
