The Chicago Heights Area Ministerial Council, led by the Rev. Lawrence Blackful, will be working with Hire Learning Career Development Academy to bring a "cease-fire" to the Heights.
"Stop Violence Now: A Summit to Cease-Fire in our Community" will be taking place Saturday June 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bloom High School.
The event will include a live performance, giveaways and a youth panel.
