Hazel Crest Man Dead After Weekend Shooting In Harvey
Kamare Jones of Hazel Crest was shot several times in the head at West 159th St. and Dixie Hwy Saturday morning, police said.
HARVEY, IL — A Hazel Crest man was shot in the head and killed Saturday morning in Harvey.
Kamare Jones, 22, was shot just after 5:20 a.m. near the intersection of West 159th Street and Dixie Highway, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that he was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. He died about five hours later.

On Sunday, an autopsy showed he shot several times in the head. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
Harvey police did not immediately respond to requests for additional information, the Sun-Times reported.
