Massacre Plotter Pleads Guilty in Foiled Joliet Armory Attack

One week after ISIS sympathizers opened fire on unsuspecting coworkers in San Bernardino, killing 14 and wounding 21, a suburban man pleaded guilty in federal court to plotting a similar attack on the Illinois National Guard Armory in Joliet. Jonas Edmonds, 30, of Aurora, and his cousin forged a plan to shoot as many as 150 people with automatic weapons. Edmonds and his cousin would then flee to the Middle East and hook up with their ISIS brothers. But the FBI detected and foiled this plot.

A Change of Plans, Not Heart: Couple Weds in Hospital

The bride’s struggle with mysterious illnesses that put her into the hospital as her wedding day grew closer couldn’t stop her and her intended from saying “I do.” Instead of the wedding she planned, or even the backup plan, Mary Sonora walked down the aisle in the chapel of Adventist Hinsdale Hospital the day before Thanksgiving, supported emotionally and physically by her parents.
