CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The Chicago Heights Police Department lost a beloved co-worker and community member earlier in the month, officials said.

Diana Carr died on Jan. 19 after working in the department as a dispatcher and front desk clerk for 24 years. According to a spokesperson for the department, Carr was one of the funniest, most helpful assets to the team.

Colleagues seconded Carr's joking nature and sweetness to anyone who called the department with a question or even complaint. Friends said they never saw her get angry.
