Beer Delivery Stopped By Police
Enrique Cortez, 31, of the 500 block of West 14th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, improper lane use, driving without a license and driving without insurance, according to a report.
Police said a red Honda Accord swayed in traffic at about 12:40 a.m. near the intersection of Chicago Road and Main Street, the report states. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. Cortez told police he had one beer an hour earlier and was dropping off a case of Modelo at a friend's house.
Cortez was arrested after performing field sobriety tests, according to the report. He also took a test for his BAC.

Man Waves Gun During Argument
A 36-year-old man allegedly pulled a black revolver during an argument and waved it around, according to a report. The argument happened at about 7:23 p.m. in the 1300 block of Schilling Avenue. A witness told police the man with the gun did not point it at him. An officer searched the area but was unable to find the gunman.
