Man Refuses To Leave Bank, Runs From Park Forest Police: Cops

Police said a man would not leave a U.S. Bank Saturday morning and then ran from police until they were able to capture him.

PARK FOREST, IL — A man is in custody after refusing to leave a U.S. Bank Saturday morning, police told Patch.

According to officers, an emergency alarm was pulled at around 8:30 a.m. at the U.S. Bank on 99 Indianwood Boulevard. When officials arrived, a man inside the bank was refusing to leave.

Shortly after, police said the man fled the bank through the bank door and led police on a foot chase until 9 a.m. Officers were able to catch the man and arrest him but warned residents in the area to stay away due to a large police presence.

As of Monday night, police had not responded to Patch's questions on the identity of the man.
