PARK FOREST, IL — How many people does it take to rescue a man from his bathroom?
No, it's not a story from The Onion. Yes, that's the obvious opening.
But the answer is: three firefighters, two police officers and the man himself.

Park Forest police rescued a man from his bathroom Tuesday after the lock on his door got stuck.
As WBBM Newsradio reports, the man got trapped at about 11 p.m. Monday. He had removed the door knob earlier in the day because it wasn't working. Somehow, the locking mechanism broke.

He couldn't crawl out of his window. No one heard his cries for help.
Finally, in the morning, he flagged down a neighbor who was going to work and she called 911.
The police said they had the tools to "get creative" to free the man. He was stuck in there for seven hours.
"It’s not quite as glamorous as a Hollywood rescue scene, but we’ll take it," police officials wrote on the department's Facebook page.
And, yes. The comments are priceless.
